1 Peter 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Let the reality of God's mercy for us bring great expectations of hope for the future.

Hebrews 13:6

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

We are not alone. A loving and large God is present even when the evidence suggests otherwise.

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

To cast without retrieving. Like dropping a stone in the deep of the ocean. Give it up and don't get it back.

Romans 5:3-5

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; [4] perseverance, character; and character, hope. [5] And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
